For this assignment, we’re going to explore the use of texture in photography

Why texture?

Texture is essential when you want to bring life and vibrancy into your photographs, giving the viewer the clear impression that moments and objects are captured in their natural state. Texture is one of the single most important elements to a photograph. Every detail in texture gives the overall perception of a photo..

STEP 1. Read: Visual Design -Using Texture in Photography
STEP 2. Watch: How to Capture Abstract Textures in Smartphone Photography (see below)
STEP 3. Shoot: Use the techniques discussed in the lecture, reading and video to create amazing images using TEXTURE.

•One important factor to always remember, just be creative. Allow yourself to be in the moment.
Your passion for what you’re capturing will come forward in those beautiful images and the viewer will see it.
•Use beautiful light -try shooting during “Golden Hour” -late afternoon or early morning -it's the best for emphasizing texture.
•Some of the best light is natural light. Being outside at dawn or dusk and using the light rays at different angles on your subject, or object, can make the difference between flat, or amazing images.
•Experiment with different angles. Depending on how you’re using light, it will help determine which angles to use.
You can find texture in pretty much in every photography scene. In either nature, or in an urban landscape, you can find textures to highlight the details of a surface.
•Remember to crop your photo and enhance your images using your phone app.
