HOW TO MAKE A TINY PLANET PANO

"TINY PLANET" ASSIGNMENT
THE ASSIGNMENT:
•USE THE "TINY PLANET" APPROACH TO CREATE 2 CIRCULAR PANORAMA PHOTOS

WHAT IS A TINY PLANET?
“Tiny planet photography uses the Polar Coordinates filter in Photoshop. The idea is to take a horizontal panorama and transform it into a sphere. It’s called a “tiny planet” photo because it looks like a miniature globe with a caricatured landscape or cityscapes on the surface. It’s a cool effect that looks like it needs lots of Photoshop know-how. But it’s easy and takes only a few steps to create a small world." -Expert Photography

To help you with this technique, I've put together this video that explains how to transform a horizontal photo into a "Tiny Planet"

Tips & Tricks
•A horizontal photo with strong vertical lines seems to work best.
•Make sure you straignten the horizon of the photo before you begin the tiny planet process.
•Resize your photo at 2000px high @ 72px (leave the width blank).
•Create your new background at double the width, but the same height, as
of the original photo.
