Advanced Photography Welcome Back Assembly Assignment


•Use your photography skills to document the Welcome Back Assembly.
Shoot a variety of subjects, using your knowledge of the “elements of photography.”
(I know this is your chance to march onto the field as Seniors, and I want you to have fun, so just shoot a bunch of interesting photos using your smartphone. Try to go beyond shooting selfies, use your skills to create some amazing photos!)

•Shoot a total of 20 different photos before, during, and after the assembly. Look for look for a variety of candid (as well as posed) photos of students enjoying the Assembly.  

•Think in terms of shooting a mini timeline, with some shots at the beginning, middle and end of the rally.
 
• What to shoot?  Putting on crowns, waiting to go into the stadium, friends carrying each other piggyback, cheering in the stands during the rally, then the crowd leaving the field at the end of the asembly, etc... Look for spontaneous candid "moments."

•Remember to fill the frame with your subjects…. get closer.  Use interesting compositions, light and moments in your images.  Vary your stance, up high, down low, close, wide…. try for variety…. photograph people’s faces, and most importantly, have some fun with your photography...

STEP 1 • WHAT TO DO AFTER THE SHOOT
•When you return, download your photos, look through your images using your Smartphone camera roll and edit down to your 5 favorites.
•Show those 5 favorites to the other advanced students. Discuss with them what worked and what could be better. 
•Then pick 2 photos to submit for a grade.

STEP 2 •SUBMITTING YOUR OF IMAGES

•Submit your 2 best images and a do a screenshot of a (minimum 20 favorites).
•Put your first images in the welcome back assign folder

•Have some fun with this, make creative, inventive, interpretive photos that display your skills!!!
