WHAT TO DO
•Use your knowledge of light and composition to create two AMAZING BLACK & WHITE photos that use SHADOW & LIGHT and LINES & SHAPES.

•This assignment is all about seeing shadow and light and composition. Shadows can make even the most mundane scene look interesting. Look for the interplay of shadow & light that creates beautiful images consisting of lines, shadows and shapes.
Go beyond shooting the obvious, use your skills to create some amazing photos!

•There will not be a minimum number of photos required, but shoot many, many, photos to get a couple that are suitable for your website.

SOME TIPS
•This assignment is all about dramatic shadow & light.
•Have some fun with this, make creative, inventive, interpretive photos that display your skills!
•Plan you shoot(s) for very early morning or late in the afternoon, just before the sun sets -that's when shadows are pronounced.
•When you are out and about, scout locations ahead of time, look for places to shoot when shadows are their most dramatic.
•Remember to fill the frame with your subjects…. get closer. 
•Use interesting compositions and perspectives in your images. Vary your stance, up high, down low, close, wide, try for variety.

AFTER YOU'VE SHOT YOUR IMAGES:
•Pick your two favorites, using your in-camera app., edit your images (crop them, straighten the horizon, lighten or darken) and convert them to Black and White.
•Submit your two favorites in the "Light & Shadow" folder in the Advanced Period 3 Google Classroom folder.
