THE FRAMING ASSIGNMENT (part 2)
•This is the second of two parts of the Framing assignment.
•Framing is a compositional technique that can be used to focus, or direct, the viewer’s attention to the object or subject of the photo.
•Framing can give your images: a sense of depth, layers, context, intrigue and can lead the viewer's eye toward the subject.
WHAT TO SHOOT
Photograph two of the three framing styles below:
•option #1 -frame a subject in nature
•option #2 -frame a person using architecture
•option #3 -frame an object through paper with writing on it...
WHAT TO SUBMIT
Pick your two best images and a 20 image proofsheet and submit them in the Google Classroom, Framing #1 assignment folder.
Set your camera on either AV or manual.
Adjust your exposure as needed using the exposure compensation button.
Set your iso according to your lightening situation.
Set you Aperture to 5.0 or lower.
You want a lot of shallow depth of field! (see image below)
You may have to set your camera on manual focus too, to make sure your subject is in focus.
