MIRROR IMAGERY ASSIGNMENT

THE ASSIGNMENT • MIRROR IMAGERY
Shoot a minimum of 20 slides to create 2 "Mirror Imagery" images.

•Submit two Mirror Images and a Proofsheet of 20 images.
•Save and submit images as:

P#lastname_mirrorimagery2

P#lastname_mirrorimagery3
*note -these are not images shot in a mirror, these are single images merged together to create the Mirror Imagery effect...

WHAT TO DO
•Take interesting photos of very graphic scenes -think about light, lines, patterns...
•Pick your favorite(s), crop it, copy it, and put it into a new Photoshop slide.
•Go back to the original image and flip or rotate the image.
•Paste that second version of your image onto the Photoshop slide.
•Align the second image with the original image on the slide to create a mirror effect.
•Include either two or four images for your combined image.

CREATE TWO OF THESE "MIRROR IMAGERY" PHOTOS

•Put each image on an individual Photoshop slide background.
•Color the slide backgrounds.
•Add a border around your image(s).
•Type your name, period and MIRROR IMAGERY at the top of each slide.

ASSIGNMENT TIPS
•Shoot images that are graphic and have symmetry.
At least one of the photos must be shot now, for this assignment, not an image you’ve shot before.
•If you have an image in your files that would be excellent for this assignment, you can use ONE photo you've already shot -but it must be interesting and something that works well for this assignment.
